What is the best time of year to visit Spain?

Spain is a country with a rather mild climate that can be visited at any time of year.

What is the weather like in Spain?

Mediterranean Spain has mild winters and can be much warmer than central Spain. The summers are hot and humid. Rain is rare from June to August, although the northern Mediterranean coast may be liable to occasional heavy downpours.

North and North-western Spain can be influenced by depressions from the Atlantic ocean, particularly in the autumn and winter, making this the wettest and cloudiest (but greenest!) part of Spain.  Summer temperatures are also typically milder here than along the Mediterranean coast.
