Visiting Segura Viudas is like walking back in time…In the XI century the land that they now occupy belonged to the Monastery of Sant Cugat del Vallés, and contained a specific military building, constructed for defensive purposes: The Galimany Tower.

Following the reconquest of the region in the XII century, agriculture became the Estate’s principal function. A function which has remained to this day…

Today, we can still see remains of those millenary times. They can be seen in the House façade itself, and in the typical defensive arrow shafts, but inside there are more discoveries to be made…

Grain storage buildings, together with beautiful vaulted and fully pointed arches of the adjacent rooms, bear witness to the agricultural nature of the building, together with the building legacy from centuries of human occupation which can be seen throughout the winery.
