How many people will be on the tour?

Travel & Wine only offers private tours, so there will be only you and your guest(s) on the tour.

What is included in the price of my tour?

Depending on what you choose to include in your itinerary, your trip may include any number of the following items:

  • Domestic transportation.
  • Accommodations.
  • Meals.
  • Private chauffeur.
  • Professional wine guide and translator.
  • VIP private winery tours and tastings.
  • A variety of outdoor and/or indoor activities.

What is the best time of year to visit Spain?

Spain is a country with a rather mild climate that can be visited at any time of year.

What do I wear/what should I bring?

We recommend you bring the following items with you on your wine tour:

  • Vineyard boots/shoes
  • Comfortable, casual walking shoes
  • Shorts for warm weather vineyard visits
  • Jeans for cool weather vineyard visits
  • 1-2 business casual outfits for dining out
  • Bathing suit
  • Light rain jacket
  • Sunscreen
  • Camera
  • Cell phone (check your coverage before you leave to see if you can purchase an international plan)
  • Cell phone charger (120 volts may not work; bring car charger as back-up)
  • Electrical adaptor
  • Smartphone (to bring or not to bring your laptop is your decision, but there is often limited cell phone/internet coverage in some of the more remote parts of Spain)

Can you provide vegetarian meals?

Yes, we can arrange meals that meet a variety of dietary restrictions.

Do you have any other alternatives to wine tours?

Yes, we are also organizing outdoors activities, as hiking, boat trip, cooking classes etc…you only have to let me know what kind of activities you wish to do.

We don’t speak Spanish, will we have a guide/translator?

Yes, if you request a tour with a guide/translator, I can assure you that he/she will speak at least English, Catalan, French , Spanish .

What Parker (Wine Advocate) scores do your wineries receive?

90% of the wines produced by my partner wineries score between 90-100 points on the Wine Advocate scale.

Is my driver’s license valid in Spain?

If your driving license is European, it is valid in Spain. If you are coming from the United States you will need an international driving permit, contact me for more information.

Can I ship wine home from Spain?

I will do my  best to help facilitate the shipment of any wine you purchase from one or more of my partner wineries but I unfortunately cannot ship it for you as I do not currently have an import/export license.

Can you organize just wine tastings for groups instead of winery tours?

Yes, I can organize the following group events:

  • Group wine tastings
  • Fun and interactive wine tasting ‘competitions’
  • Corporate team-building wine tasting events
  • Food and wine pairing lunches or dinners
  • Cheese and wine pairing courses
  • Chocolate and wine pairing courses
  • Winemaking seminars

How much should we tip in Spain?

It is normal to leave a 5% tip at restaurants, a 5-10% tip to your taxi driver or private chauffer and a 10-15% tip to your private guide/translator.

Are you insured?

Yes, I am completely insured, but I also recommend you obtain full travel and medical insurance for your complete trip abroad.

Why there is no prices of the services offered?

As each customer’s experience is unique, packages are indicated at the time of request.
